Support Group Young People |
A group has been set up to support children of all ages who are dealing
with the trauma of a parent, sibling or close relative having cancer.
Frequently children feel isolated, alone and unable to speak to anyone
about their fears. At the Centre, qualified child therapists support
each child through play, art and interaction with other children in
similar circumstances.
Therapists also support the parents and give them guidelines on
supporting their child at this time.
The Centre also supports young people with cancer. It offers a home away
from home where they can plan social activities and avail of all the
therapies and counselling and workshops at the centre, while supporting
each other in a relaxed and caring environment.
